Shield – SSTTV – Features and Benefits:

The Single stroke tubing testing valve is operated by reciprocal motion and annular pressure or tubing plus annular pressure. When running in hole, use a bolt to position the ball valve in the open or closed position.After the screw is sheared, reciprocal motion will operate the ball valve. The ball valve can be locked in the open position before coming out of the hole. Pressure applied to the annulus will shear a set of shear pins, which caused the shear pin body to slide upward, dropping the locking dogs into a groove. Once the locking dogs have fallen into their groove, the ball valve will be locked open. Allowing fluid trapped inside the work string to drain out while the string is retrieved from the hole.
