Shield SSTTV Single Shot Tubing Test Valve

The Shield SSTTV is a full-opening, single-shot tubing test valve used to pressure-test the work string before a squeeze-cementing or treatment operation. It can help locate tubing leaks while the suspected leak remains near the surface and can be run with compatible packer systems.

The ball valve is operated by reciprocal motion together with annular pressure, or tubing and annular pressure according to the approved operating procedure. Before retrieval, the ball valve can be locked open to permit fluid trapped in the work string to drain while the string is pulled from the well.
