Straddle System: PPI

The SHIELD SPPI straddle Packer system allows selected sections of the wellbore to be isolated and stimulated/treated. The straddle packer allows operators to treat selected zones and can be further tailored by adjusting the straddle distance between the upper and lower elements. The tool is run slightly below the desired setting position to set the packer and is then picked up and rotated. The mechanical slips on the tool can start taking weight once they are set.

• Sets securely in any hardness casing, including premium grades
• Large internal flow path located below the bypass valve to reduce element swabbing and Hold Down Piston wicker dulling
• Length can be adjusted between the straddle packers
• Utilizes a differential lock balance sleeve actuated by pressure from below
• Packer rotationally locked to deliver torque through the packer
• Straight up-pull releases the Packer
• Simple collet type Snap-latch prevents the Packer from setting before landing the seal assembly (or setting a lower Retrievable Packer)
• Optional accessories like plugging device can be provided for displacing the fluid and treatment across the packer
• Optional Packer J-latch (Right Handset, Automatic Jay), different weight ranges & elastomer could be customizes as per applications
